Actually I do work for Wellmont. I'm eligible for their insurance, and to be honest I should have taken it. It's better than what I have now.
My insurance is through my f/t employement at South-West Insurance.

You work in the E.R. at Lonesome Pine? Just wondering you may have been there when I had my last heart attack.
I work all over the hospital.. location determined by need.
I get paged to the ER often. If you see me coming to talk to you, it ain't good.
When I worked at St. Mary's about 8-10 years ago, they had the best health insurance ever. If you were sick and went there, more than likely you wouldn't see a bill. I was in the ICU for a week and I paid $0.
At wellmont I can pay my bill with my PTO if I wanted. No cash? Here, take 20 hours PTO....
We had the PTO stuff there too. Work 40 hours in a week, earn 8 hours of PTO. When my girlfriend quit working there, she had 2-3 months worth cashed out.
I'd rather not use mine to pay a bill, but if I needed to I would. I get about 3-4 hours of PTO a pay period.
I'd always cash in a week besides the week they'd pay me for vacation. That was the good thing about working there. The pay sucked, I got stuck with a needle, saw some stuff that looked like it was out of a horror movie, but the benefits were great.
I get the joy of handling the deaths on the weekends.
But the benefits are good!
Not looking forward to this weekend.
ARH is on strike, and that means we get the would-be Harlan patients. Not fun.
